This was a last minute trip, some friends rented out the Peter Estin hut for 3 days and i got invited! I couldn't make it all 3 days but i made 2 and had a blast. We went in at the Yeoman trail head and skinned 4.5 miles to cabin, took us just under three hours. We got to the hut, had some food, and started to skin up to the top of Mt Charles. We were to tired, the snow was very wet and heavy, and it was getting late in the day. We ended up turned around half way but enjoyed some great turns back to the cabin. We had an awesome cocktail hour and dinner. We wanted to do a moonlight ski so we took off for the meadow we skied during the day around 9:45. We got to the meadow around 10:30 and it was pitch black, no moon. O well, threw the head laps back on and skied back! Woke up the next morning, cleaned the cabin up and had a awesome ski out the drainage back to Yeoman trail head, it took us about 45 mins to ski out. |
