There is not much to say about this trip except for three things, COLD, COLD, COLD!!!! When I first looked into doing this trip I pictured two blue bird days and some warm weather, we got the blue bird days but not the warm weather. We left the trailhead and it was already -2F and we found out that the temps dropped to -15F. With good recon on this area I new how long it would be to get in and how many people could fit in the hut, however when the word got out that I was going for it lots of things changed. 7 people later, 2 thirty racks of coors, and some whiskey we where headed up to the lane. Minus the cold and the snowmobilers this was an awesome trip! We had some great pow turns up on the Lane glacier and below it, the beer was frozen so we didn't get to light up, and we had a great team bonding experience over cold toes and snuffling noises. |
