I hadn't been out with Henry in a long time so when he called and said we could go out this afternoon I was fired up. With the warm weather and lots of wet slides we needed to go to a high place with some different aspect options, coon hill. Its about a 20 minute drive from Frisco, takes about an hour to climb to the top, and you get about 2,000 vertical of skiing. We made are way up to the top and decided to ski the main couloir, right off the top. We were so late in the day that the snow felt like it was already starting to freeze again with the wind and no sun. We had some awesome corn skiing up high, played around on the rollers down low, had a sticky straight line out. |
